Yang energy continues to flow for us through the month of February. This year has seen us off with a bang, all planets have been direct since the day of the new moon and partial eclipse on the 6th of January. With all planets moving direct, this gives full power to forward moving energy. Make the most of the energy potential that the planets are allowing for at the moment. This window of full force will continue until the 5th of March, when Mercury will turn retrograde. The energy of full power will begin to slow down midway through February, as Mercury will begin to slow before changing directions and Mars moves into fixed earth sign, Taurus. Mercury is the ruler of our thoughts, communication and mind. Mars rules power, aggression, determination.
Power structures are coming into full view over the next couple of years, with Saturn and Pluto coming into exact conjunction in 2020. They have now entered a wide orb, which means that the effects of this conjunction are already being felt. Pluto is coming to a conjunction with the South Node, so this speaks of power structures within our personal lives and on the global scale. What is the power structure for the collective and is it effective? There will begin a bottom-up break down, breaking down the old structures, patriarchy and anything that is lacking integrity. On a personal level, its time to look at where your power lies. Does it come from within or from outside of you? It is important to review this and ensure that you are doing what you can to cultivate the power from within.
Continuing with the theme of power, Mars in Aries, squaring Pluto in Capricorn is pushing our will power, drive and focus. When the Moon comes to conjunct Pluto on the 3rd of the month, this will be particularly highlighted for us. The Moon represents our emotional centres, how are our emotions and are they enabling or disabling us to push forward with full potential? This will naturally come up for review.
Intense and extreme feelings of assertional anger will be available this month as Mars and Uranus are both moving through Aries, the cardinal zodiac of fire, action, aggression, determination. On the 6th of the month Uranus will be shifting into the final 29th degree of Aries, marking a critical time of change. Mars will conjunct Uranus on the 12th and 13th of the month and we are set to feel volatile, socially, politically and environmentally. There is a demand for change on the global scale but also for us personally. As I keep mentioning, the first 6 months of this year are set to mark a huge time of endings and beginnings.
This is particularly significant because we have two slow moving planets changing signs within the next 40 days. Chiron, who has a 51 year orbit, will be shifting from Pisces to Aries. Uranus, with an 84 year orbit will be shifting from Aries to Taurus.
Chiron has been sitting in Pisces since 2010 and will be moving in Aries on the 18th of February. Since 2010, Chiron has been prompting us as a collective to dive deep into healing our spiritual selves. We have been encouraged or drawn to diving deep into our psyche to gently open our minds to the other realms and layers of reality. More than meets the eye. Reflection on our own subconscious and spirituality and how these aspects of ourselves have shifted into something more open. Now that Chiron is moving into Aries, the energy will be less gentle and we will be focusing our healing on the ego. It’s time for us to heal the ego in a way that will allow the ego to work for us, not against us. This energy will feel more like tough love, but it will allow us to get up and brush things off easier, with a greater sense of courage and strength. If you would like to peer into what the lessons might be around for you, have a think back to key issues that were highlighted for you around April 18th 2018.
Uranus will be shifting into Taurus on the 6th of March and this will be explored deeper in next months update.
On the 5th of February at 8:04am, Melbourne time, we will experience the New Moon in Aquarius at 15°45'. Look at your birth chart and locate in what house this degree falls for you. On a collective level, that applies to us all, a New Moon in Aquarius, is time to detach from anything that is not serving you anymore. Aquarius is the sign of detachment. Reflect on if you are giving yourself enough space to be your true unique self. Recognise and release anything that is holding you back from stepping into your truest from. If you’ve been stuck in a rut recently, this is the perfect time to channel the inventive, future orientated energy of Aquarius, to find a solution. Mercury will be conjunct this New Moon so the mind is very active, open and engaged in the new cycle of this New Moon. Aquarius is the sign of the collective, so its time to connect, find your community and find your tribe. Link with people who are like of mind.
On the 14th of February, Mars will be shifting from Aries into Taurus. Taurus energy is Earth, fixed, stable, highly productive and consistent energy. Whatever we have been working on over the last few months, Taurus energy will allow us to then see it through to completion.
Full Moon in Virgo at 00°42', will reach its peak on the 20th at 2:54am. Taking a look in what house 00°42' of Virgo falls in your chart will tell you, what area of your life will reach the peak of its cycle. There is a reaction from the universe from the energy that we have been putting into this area of life, for the last 6 months. On a collective level, the Virgo Full Moon will be creating finicky and anxious energy. Have you been too picky, pedantic or critical to yourself or others? Be cautious not to be worrying or complaining too much, thus bringing more negative energy to you. Check in with if you have been paying attention to the details that you need to be looking at this month and that the criticism you are serving to yourself and others remains constructive!
This month shows a lot of explosive, yang energy. Highlighting and challenging power is never going to be a smooth ride, so the importance of a spiritual practice and a spiritual anchor to be put in place is evident. This is something that can be unique to you, it could be meditation, candle gazing, spending time in nature, yoga, or prayer. Whatever it is, keep it consistent!
Have an awesome month!
